For people in or after separation

MEDIATION

Mediation is a better way to manage separation and divorce. You can go down the lawyer/court track if you wish. But experience shows that too quick an entry into that path can waste thousands of dollars and create bitterness and hostility for you, your expartner and your children.

Mediation can help you and your partner diffuse conflict before it gets out of hand. It keeps you in charge, in control, and assists the two of you to sort out the problems in a way that suits you, not a judge or lawyer.

In a mediation session you can discuss, with the help of a trained mediator, all the issues that separation throws up - parenting your children, living arrangements, housing, child support, property division, and other things important to your lives and to your children. And you can set down a written agreement which can be filed in court by you or your lawyer.

Michael Green coaching male client

Separation and divorce are tough times. They bring special problems for men, women and children, problems that you are not used to dealing with. It can be like the end of the world as you know it. At such times we need all the help we can get.

I can show you a way to minimise the anger, bitterness and expense. All it takes is one phone call to the number at the bottom of this page to put you on the right track. You can arrange a personal appointment with me.

In a session lasting about an hour to an hour and a half, I will listen to your story, hear what's happening to you, help you identify your strengths and weaknesses, isolate the key problems and issues, and assist you to develop strategies to deal with them. Should you need legal advice or assistance from other professionals, I can provide you with sensible and helpful referrals.
